Pancake week!

Hello guys! As you may know this week (from 11th to 17th of March) is a Pancake week - Maslenitsa! For those who doesn't know what it is - it's quite a big holiday in Russia which is celebrated on the last week before the Great Lent and is a way to give goodbye to winter and welcome spring. There's a lot of fun going on this week, but what I like the most about it is that you get to eat a lot of tasty pancakes! Pancakes are round and they symbolize the Sun that's why they are the most important item of the holiday.

As a filling for pancakes people usually use honey, jam, caviar, salmon, meat, cottage cheese and many more. I prefer cottage cheese or caviar) Have a nice week!
