Raising bridges

Have you ever tried to combine sightseeing with office work? It’s my second week since I’m sticking to that rhythm here in Saint-Petersburg and I’ve gotta tell it’s not easy. Job, lack of sleep and everyday walking makes it more and more difficult to recover. And I must confess that I feel extremely tired. But you know, it’s worth it! I just don’t want to miss anything! And as for sleep and relax – I’ll have plenty of time to do it at home.

The Great Gatsby

Hi there! Today it was raining for a while and it’s really a great thing! Now the weather is not so hot and it’s absolutely perfect time for walking. Last weekend I had two wonderful things happened to me. First – we had lots of fun celebrating birthday of my office I’m working at. I think I’ll share some pictures of this day sometime soon. The other thing was going to the movies. We’ve seen “The Great Gatsby” and I’ve got to tell you it was incredible! So I actually decided it’s worth a separate post. Jazz music mixed with rap, beauty in every shot and amazing acting! Tobey Maguire is quite nice here, and Leo is cuter than ever!

Easter Inspiration

Easter is coming! I love this holiday. While for many people it comes with sad thoughts of Jesus, for me it's a good tradition that gives another excuse to meet your family and friends, exchange with Easter eggs and cakes, and of course it gives a good opportunity for DIY stuff! This year Easter in Europe and US starts today, while our Russian Easter will be only on 5th of May. So it's a whole month to wait! Well, who says we can't stock up on ideas while waiting? :) With this thought in mind I've searched web and found some nice tips how to dye Easter eggs.

Pancake week!

Hello guys! As you may know this week (from 11th to 17th of March) is a Pancake week - Maslenitsa! For those who doesn't know what it is - it's quite a big holiday in Russia which is celebrated on the last week before the Great Lent and is a way to give goodbye to winter and welcome spring. There's a lot of fun going on this week, but what I like the most about it is that you get to eat a lot of tasty pancakes! Pancakes are round and they symbolize the Sun that's why they are the most important item of the holiday.
